for you & your loved ones
I create jewellery that is shaped and follows the contours of the body and encourage the wearer to interact with the pieces. My work is inspired by the eroded stones. When I go to the beach and parks, I am interested in looking at corroded rocks and their irregular holes, shapes, and forms. I walked around and squat down in front of weathered stones to touch, look and collect my favourites.
I capture the repetitive round texture and the depth holes in stones, then I recreate these elements in my pieces. I connect these formal qualities, irregularities and textures of the stones and rocks to the human body. Looking at the body on a natural form also suggests, similarly to the rocks, changes, and erosion. Therefore, the ‘disruption’ and eventual disappearance of the form in what I explore.
